Deer Hunts for Heroes

They have fought and some have died so that we remain free. They are our American Veterans. Sadly, far too many of our service men and women return from conflicts around the world with serious combat injuries that leave them with varying degrees of disabilities. Their way of life and the things they enjoyed will be forever changed. We may never be able to repay our Veterans for their sacrifices, but we can show them how much they are appreciated. Hunts for Heroes takes Veterans with combat disabilities on whitetail deer hunts on a participating hunting ranch.

Unfortunately, there are more deserving Veterans than we have hunts available. Please consider becoming involved and help give a disabled Veteran the positive experience of a hunt for a trophy buck. If you have a hunting ranch and would like to host a hunt, or if you have a buck you would like to donate to a ranch for a hunt, please sign up now. Generally the hunt class we like to provide is 150 inches and up.

Our heroes are selected and located through the Veterans Administration and the VA Hospital in Milwaukee. One of our very first hunters, Sgt. Mike Meinen, seriously wounded in Iraq, now works at the VA and is very instrumental in getting these hunts to very deserving and appreciative Veterans with disabilities.
